I just feel Marvel has been owning it when it comes to the live action stuff and DC has been disappointing me. I would rather see DC bring back shows like Teen Titans, Young Justice, or Justice League than see movies that had sadly been disappointing me.

The Joker then escapes Arkham and proceeds to kill or cripple Robin. Wrought with guilt, Bruce once again dons the cape and cowl and becomes The Batman in an effort to make amends for leaving Robin to this fate. This ties in with the scenes that we see of him on top of the sports car in suicide squad trailer, pursuing Joker and explains why he comes back to take on Supes after having a pretty clean getaway (What with the whole nuclear bomb superheating his skellington to the same temperature as the sun cover).

This looks like such a mess. Doomsday is a warped version of Zod, Bruce and Kent interact like some sort of shitty fanfiction, Batman is holding a God-damned gun, it looks like whatever city they're in gets absolutely destroyed, and Eisenberg is just playing Zuckerberg again.
But, Wonder Woman stops Doomsdays blast and is initially unaffiliated with either side, and that's fucking awesome. Already she's doing better than Black Widow.

Eisenberg is definitely not doing the same character here as he played in the Social Network. He was much more nervous, serious, and less energetic. This character is very different.
Batman holds a grapple gun in the comics, and holds a EMP gun in TDKR, and holds a sniper rifle in the first trailer...
so...basically, it'll be Marvel's Civil War vs DC's Civil War. cool.

A trailer is supposed to tease. A trailer is supposed to ask the question.
A trailer showcases the concept. The film showcases the story. People watch the film because the concept intrigues them and draws them in. People are then fed the story while watching.
I DON'T WANT TO BE FED THE STORY IN THE TRAILER!
From this trailer:
- I know that Superman unmasks Batman. I didn't need to know that.
- I know that big explosion was Doomsday's blast being deflected by Wonderwoman... and from the banter neither Superman nor Batman were not allied with her yet. I really REALLY didn't need to know that.
- I know now that Superman, Batman and Wonderwoman verse Doomsday... so this really isn't Batman vs Superman in the end. Why show us this?
All this stuff I really didn't have to know. The last trailer was amazing. Why did you have to blow so many spoilers and give away half the story?

To illustrate, take my first example: Superman unmasks Batman.
I'll go and watch the movie. I'll have in my head the entire time that eventually Batman gets caught by Superman's thugs, rendering the entire battle unsuspenseful since I know what is going to happen... and during the entire cross-examination during capture, instead of the edge of my seat experience wondering if Batman is somehow going to out-think his way out and not link the Batman to Wayne enterprises, I'll just be thinking "Okay... any moment now... AH! There it is... he unmasks Bruce Wayne. I saw that already."
Thus, the amount of suspense is reduced considerably. Watching that interrogation scene, even though I haven't actually seen it yet, is not going to have the same punch for me. It's like watching a game and you already know the final score. It almost takes the fun out of it. These bits of information, if they were leaked via gossip forums would be considered spoilers. eg "Psst. Hey... I hear that Superman unmasks Batman in the interrogation scene".
OK, don't need to go and see it anymore, they just spoiled the whole thing...

pjsniper1986 He wasn't created on Krypton. He was created on a spaceship and then dropped off on Krypton. Every time he died, his creator would fix him up and send him back to the planet. After thousands of deaths, Doomsday had finally killed every native creature on Krypton. Then, he found his way onto the spaceship and killed his creator.
So, pretending that Zod's corpse could accomplish something like that is just nuts.
You know what i mean, and sending him to krypton was apart of his creation process, so in a way it was, and if it wasn't for him being placed on krypton and dying and evolving then he wouldn't be who he is today, but that's besides the point, the point I'm trying to make is that it was a convenient plot for the character without doing an origin. If they decided to have a mindless creature fall to earth and cause destruction, then the audience are going to be like "who the hell is this" but none the less he is linked to krypton so the story was tweaked to suit the world they live in by using zods DNA. There is nothing nuts about it.

Why is everyone losing their shit about Batman holding a gun when he has cars and an aircraft that shoot bullets and missiles? Plenty of other versions of the character have killed people before. I don't care if he does or not in this movie as long as he's written and portrait well which I have doubts about. Besides, it might not even be a firearm but a tranquilizer gun, kryptonic radiator or who the fuck knows! It's cool to speculate but don't jump to conclusions before seeing the movie..
Batman, as a character, DESPISES the use of guns.
Most variations do but it's not entirely unheard of for the character. Don't get me wrong I don't want to see Batman using an m16 but he does use weapons tactically for an advantage in some situations. Like I said, though. It might not even be a lethal weapon but some sort of stun gun or something like that to knock out the target but not kill them.

After rewatching the trailer, I can't get over these gloomy sepia colors. Enough with this already. A comic book adaptation shouldn't look like a faded polaroid from the 1970s. Make Batman and Gotham City as dark and washed out as you like, but Supes and W.W. are literally colorful characters. Take a page from Marvel's playbook and give us bright comic book tones, or at least realistic skin colors that don't make the cast look as if they're suffering from advanced liver damage.

Preach it, bro! As anyone who's watched Batman '66, SuperFriends, Superman III, or Batman and Robin knows, DC has always been the source for ultra-realistic, dark, gritty, serious, grim, dark, and edgy darkness.
Why, just today I saw a beautiful raped woman, who was probably also a lawyer, or maybe a social worker, get thrown out of a moving limo, and then stabbed to death by a zombie-like drug addict, right on the street. My city's many pedestrians just stepped right over as she bled out. It was so DC! and I thought it was pretty realistic, because it had happened. Nobody called 9-1-1, because we all figured the cops were busy beating a 12-year-old orphan boy to death.
But then somebody made a witty comment. It wasn't cryptic or surreal. In fact, it was a good observation, and it was actually pretty funny. So we all beat the shit out of him.

You know, I think I get the reasoning behind this trailer: we ALL knew that the two guys were eventually gonna team up and fight Doomsday, so they didn't even bother hiding it. They did the same thing with the Man of Steel trailer. But remember with Man of Steel, they only showed us little shots of the actions scenes, and the actual fights in that movie were spectacular. So maybe that's the one thing they're saving for us: the actual fight between Doomsday and Superman. That's what you should be looking forward to.

Everyone needs to realize that they made two big trailers for two big reasons:
1. The Batman and Superman fight, made a trailer exclusively focused on that.
2. The Dawn of Justice between Batman, Supes, and Wonder Women. Plus Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman somewhere.
Seriously, it's in the fucking title. People are acting like it's a surprise that Lex wasn't going to make Metallo, or Bizarro, or a power suit, or Doomsday, or resurrect Zod. People actually expected Batman or Superman to actually fight and have one admit defeat. I mean, Superman's lasers are so fast that Batman can never dodge them, so obviously it had to be someone else.
